This policy covers the website and the QR Code Generator Now plugin published by QRCodeGeneratorNow.com. The website returns generated files directly. The plugin temporarily stores files so you can preview and download individual codes or a batch ZIP. Updated 9 October 2026.
No account is required. Plugin download links expire after six hours; files may be removed sooner for abuse protection. A downloaded static QR code itself does not expire.
Website generator
The website uses the content and appearance settings you submit to generate PNG and SVG files. This route does not save your generated files in the plugin storage bucket. Your browser or delivery infrastructure may cache responses. Browser WebMCP operates this same website generator.
Plugin inputs and temporary files
The plugin receives the QR types, content, optional labels and appearance settings you choose to send. These may include personal details or Wi-Fi credentials. We use them to generate your requested files; we do not visit the URLs you encode.
Generated PNG and SVG files encode your content. We temporarily store these files, a batch ZIP and its manifest in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. Optional labels appear in the preview and manifest. Anyone holding an unguessable download link can access its file until it expires; treat those links as private. Do not use sensitive information as a label.
Expiry and deletion
Links stop working six hours after generation, including if physical cleanup is delayed. A scheduled task runs every minute to remove expired files in bounded batches. Physical deletion may take longer during backlogs or provider failures. Storage and abuse protections may remove files sooner. Files you already downloaded are under your control.
Cloudflare D1 stores file keys, sizes and expiry times to enforce quotas and clean up R2. Active inventory entries are removed after confirmed file deletion. Aggregate daily usage counters are normally retained for up to 31 UTC dates; provider failures can delay cleanup. Provider-managed database backups can retain inventory metadata after operational deletion. QR payloads and labels are not copied into the quota database.
Hosting, operational data and chat hosts
Cloudflare processes network and technical information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service. The application uses aggregate counters and IP-based throttling for abuse prevention. Automatic Worker invocation URL logging is disabled; application logs use fixed errors and cleanup counts, not QR inputs or download tokens. Separate infrastructure security processing is governed by Cloudflare and its applicable policies.
If you use the plugin through ChatGPT or another host, that host also processes the conversation and tool results under its own policies. We do not operate a QR scan analytics service.
Cookies and third parties
The generator does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare as hosting and storage infrastructure. We do not sell or rent submitted QR content.
Your choices and support
Only encode information you are authorized to share. A QR code exposes its encoded content to anyone who scans it. Avoid sending real secrets when testing. For questions about stored plugin files or deletion, contact hello@qrcodegeneratornow.com without including passwords in your message.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise this page.
